 Hey Guys,

Firstly, I would greatly encourage each student to use their own words in each assignment. I know that sometimes it can be challenging but it is so important. When material is copywritten it has been claimed as an individual's words. It so important that you give that individual credit for the work that they have put in. With fair use, you are able to use that individual's words as a resource, but you MUST give credit where credit is due. As an educator, it is important that when using readings and other instructional material there must be a citation for that resource. Students must understand that any source being used should be cited because it is not their own words.

Secondly, I would like to talk about the issues of cyberbullying and academic dishonesty. Cyberbullying is a major problem that many students suffer from, and many do not speak up about it. The goals that I have set in this classroom are honesty and love. Being kind to others is very important to make yourself and friends feel good about themselves. Academic dishonesty is also something that is very prevalent is schools today. I strongly encourage all students to do their own work. Firstly, it is not honorable when an individual uses another student's answers in order to be successful. If a student is confident in their answers but is not correct it can hurt both students involved. Doing your own work is important in helping to become a more productive and successful student.

Lastly, I recently created a newsletter informing parents about what their students will learn in the coming month. This was a very helpful assignment because I was educated on many things that I did not Microsoft Word had. For example, it was helpful to know how to use the columns and how to include shading. I could definitely improve my newsletters in the future by including more graphics and relaying messages more productively.
